Eligibility-Educational Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree i.e. B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M and or in the Masters Degree
  • Belonging to all other reserved categories i.e. S.C. S.T., O.B.C. and physically handicapped should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
Note: The candidates who passed B.E/B.Tech, with Mathematics, Physics are eligible for admission into the Course.

Age Limit:

The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on 1st July of the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.

3)      Biological Science (Combination of Botany ,Zoology)

Eligibility Criteria for the choice of Methodology subject


Candidates with B.A/B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the group subjects or B.C.A. candidates with
Mathematics at intermediate level as a group subject
3-Biological Sciences

Candidates with B.Sc./B.Sc.(Home Science)who have Allied Life Sciences under Part-II group subjects or
B.C.A. candidates with Biological Sciences at intermediate level as group subject
2-Physical Sciences
Candidates with B.Sc. who have studied Physics and Chemistry or Allied Material Sciences under Part-II
group subjects or B.C.A. candidates with Physical Sciences(Physics and Chemistry)at intermediate level
as group subject
4-Social Studies

All candidates with B.A./B.COM./B.B.M. or B.C.A candidates with Social Sciences at intermediate level
as group subject
Candidates with B.A Special English or M.A English

Total Marks: (semester wise verify subject chart)

A candidate should secure a minimum of 40 % of marks in each semester-end theory paper of University examination and an aggregate of 50% of marks of all the papers of the semester for a pass. Further, a candidate should secure a minimum of 50% marks in seminar/project work / field work / dissertation / internship any such other assignment for a pass. If a candidate fails to secure an aggregate of 50% of marks for a pass in theory paper of a semester he/she has to secure 50% marks in such individual paper/papers (Semester-end examination + Internal marks put together) in the subsequent opportunity of the examination.
Theory   = 1100 Marks
Practical, Records, Practice Teaching & Project = 1100 Marks
         = 2200 Marks

Practicing Teaching :

Each Year 30 days compulsory in course, that will be manageable or will be arrange in local school

Examination Held:

Exam will be commence for 2018-20 academic year as below mentioned
1st semester: 2019 January
2nd Semester: 2019 July
3rd Semester: 2019 December
4th Semester: 2020 April
Fees: per Semester 20000/-( Twenty Thousand Rupees Only) excluding the Examination Fee and Books. Fee will be pay installment as per precise admission form.

    Frequently asked questions (FAQ) or Questions and Answers (Q&A)

    1)   Is B.Ed Programme a full time programme?
    Yes, B.Ed., is full time programme but     classes are optional as per the student convenient at gvn institute regular class (or) Sunday class.
     2)   Is B.Ed Compulsory for teaching?
    "National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has clearly specified the minimum qualifications for teachers in schools in 2001, as per the mandate under the National Council for Teacher Education Act, and also under the RTE Act, which state that all teachers appointed by the government/employing authority should be trained and have the minimum qualifications for different levels in school education — pre-primary , elementary, secondary etc. We want the teachers to be trained
     3)  what are the basic qualification required for the B.Ed?
    Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree i.e.                         B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M and or in the Masters Degree Belonging to

     4)   In case do not have 50% in graduation or post graduation is there any alternative?
    In Such case there is a possibility to do B.Ed after pursuing the bridge course. We are here to help you to complete bridge course.
     5) Is teaching experience required for pursuing B.Ed?
     If you want to pursue B.Ed through correspondence then you should be working in some school or /and you should have experience of two years
    If you want to pursue B.Ed through regular then without any teaching experience you are eligible to take admission.
    Once you attain your degree of B.Ed you are eligible for CBSE affiliated schools/ the renowned school of any other curriculum eg. ICSE etc. However, IGSE or IB curriculum schools may ask for relevant eligibility or diploma. (Regular B.Ed is priority.)
     6) How do i do Regular B.Ed while teaching or working  ?

    7) Is it compulsory to give entrance examination to join Acharya Nagarjuna University offered B.Ed.?
    Acharya Nagarjuna Univesity affiliated colleges contain 50 or 100 each college allotment of seats, 75% of seats are under entrance examination and the remain 25% of seats are without entrance examination so without entrance exam also student will get admission.
     8)  I am working in government office can i do B.Ed.?
    Government employers can pursue the course during the period of course they should be leave.
     9) Acharya Nagarjuna University offered B.Ed degree will be acceptable in west Bengal?
    National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is a statutory body of Indian government set up under the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993
    Once NCTE body has approved under University College certificates are throughout India acceptable and particularly west Bengal government has been accepted for the government jobs.
    Example: Our institution students are selected as an assistance teacher post through west Bengal school service commission and “ANU” certificate is accepted by all private schools.
     10) Is this B.Ed course valid outside India?
    The teaching field of each country is governed by their rules and regulations of that particular country which differ from country to country. Hence you may have to do some additional course in some countries.
     11)  Is B.Ed necessary for Teaching?
    Yes, to get into a good school,& get salary as per regular scale.  B.Ed also helps one to learn the methodology & makes more efficient in the teaching profession.
     12)  I am BCOM (or) BBA (or) B.Tech Degree, am I eligible to do B.Ed.?
    B.COM , BBA and B.Tech students are eligible to do B.Ed. pedagogy subject as per the Higher secondary.
     13) Where will the examination centre for Acharya Nagarjuna University?
    Acharya Nagarjuna University exams takes place in Guntur District , Andhra Pradesh.
     14)  Do the GVN Institute provides accommodation and traveling facilities to give during exams  In Guntur, Andhra Pradesh?

    Admissions are open for 2017-18 sessions, last date of admission 30th April 2017
